Bicycles are a good
way to travel through the flat landscape
of the Netherlands and explore its picturesque
landscape. The country has historic cities

Most tourists visit during the Spring and
Summer, though skating on the frozen canals
and flood plains is popular during the Winter

on the 30th of April in Amsterdam and The
Holland Festival held in June.
Getting There: Visitors can enter the Netherlands by road or
rail from Belgium or Germany. The main airport
is Schiphol, near Amsterdam and there are regular
ferry services to and from ports in England.
