The Principality of
Monaco is home to its own Royal family and
has a reputation for being a playground
for the rich and famous. Popular locations
in Monaco include the Casino and the beach
at Monte Carlo. Tourists are drawn by events
including the International Circus Festival
held in January, the Monaco Grand Prix held
in May, when drivers race through the streets,
the Motor Rally and and in July the International
Fireworks Competition. The Summer months
can be hot and crowded. The Winters are
rarely cold, whilst the Spring and Autumn
are usually warm.

Getting There: Tourists can enter Monaco by car using the coast
road or by rail to Monte Carlo train station.
There are no airports in Monaco, but helicopter
flights are available from Nice airport, in France,
to a heliport in the Principality. In the port
are the large boats and expensive yachts of wealthier
visitors.
