Of the three Baltic
States, Lithuania is the largest and is
becoming a popular tourist destination.
The capital Vilnius has become increasingly
popular with British visitors as a place
to hold organized stag parties. July and
August are particularly busy and Midsummer
is celebrated widely. Popular festivals
include a week long theatre festival held
in Vilnius each May and an International
Jazz Festival held in Kaunas each April.
A week long music festival is held each
July and three days of concert and theatre
events each September.
