The
Schengen Agreement removed border controls between
countries that have signed and implemented it, though
airlines at some airports still require visitors to
produce a passport or an identity card. The signatory
countries are; Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland,
France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg,
the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and
Switzerland. Most, though not all, of these countries
are also EU (European Union) members. |
